SALTY BIO

Have you tasted chocolate with chilli?

Surprisingly different, refreshingly honest...alternative subtle rock. Salty hit the streets of Adelaide in March 04 with the release of the EP Something about you...essentially as a solo release. Since then, Salty have gone on to support names like Sophie B Hawkins USA Ember Swift Canada & Elixir [George] QLD - along with a wealth of independent musicians around Australia.

Touring Nationally they have played @ festivals alongside Monique Brumby, Marie Wilson, Genevieve Maynard as well as headlining regional festivals including the Beachport Festival by the Sea & Port MacDonnell Bayside festival with a turn out of 10 000 people this year.

Involved with the local SA music community, playing with The Audreys, Junior & Mel Watson, Susie Keynes - Fruit as well as appearing on a number of fellow musicians albums including Steve Lennox... Salty have been building their following from the ground up and are gathering a momentum well out of their own control.

Releasing their debut CD - Just because - on the 9 June @ The Wheatsheaf Hotel to a sell-out crowd...the album delivers their musical blend of alt pop-rock mixed with simmering ballads, from the in-your-face indie rock of wannabe pornstar (you think you're a porn star honey) & this is not another love song to the silky tones of little time & title track just because

With a traditional 4 piece line up, the quirky drummer (party trick: playing the bass and drums at the same time) the cute-laid-back bass player, a tasteful young South African lead guitarist, fronted by Miss Personality, AKA 'sultry' Susi D on lead vocals/guitar & occasional piano accordion! Salty pull out the angry chick rock vibe - distortion verses simmering vocals - only to slap you in the face and sweet talk their way out with heart wrenching love songs.
